Hi all,

WAEPPA

Well it has been a really busy month or two. The WAEPPA's are upon us and the submission deadline for the West Australian Epson Professional Photography Awards has now passed. Phew! We can all breathe again...but not before you realise you now have to face judging and the nerves kick in. 

At the start of the process of entering my images I feel good about what I intend to submit, but then you stare at the images for a really long time! and you second guess yourself. This is all completely normal, those that are entering will know that feeling, if you follow the AIPP community pages on Facebook it is a prevalent topic around this time of year. It is good to know I am not alone in the roller coaster of nerves around this annual event.

Good luck to all those entering this year and to those who are still on the fence about whether they should or not, do it! Judging commences next week. judging schedule. 

MIFA - The Moscow International Foto Awards

I do enter a lot of awards...and have had a really good year. Really happy to have taken out 2nd place in the Professional  Nature - Aerial category for the MIFA.  

Website Update

With all that WAEPPA stuff going on the website has felt a bit unloved of recent times. The good news is there are some new images that are now on display and ready for purchase! New releases here.

I have also been putting a bit of work into my portrait & family website which has now gone live! I still need to refine it a little, but given how long it has taken to get it up I am happy it is now out. Feel free to check it out www.matbeetson.com.au
